Environmental Services

Environmental Services, a division of Brenntag Great Lakes, is a fully licensed treatment, storage, and disposal facility located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. We have been providing environmental services to Midwest industries since 1974 and specialize in solvent reclamation and disposal.

Our reputation as a reliable, customer service oriented company with a conservative approach to Environmental Management, has earned us the respect of our industry peers and allowed us sustained growth since 1959. Our solvent distribution company, in house laboratory and company owned trucking fleet give Brenntag Great Lakes great flexibility to meet our customer's needs.

No Landfills!! Part of our success at Brenntag Great Lakes is due to the fact that we have never utilized landfills in our hazardous waste operations. Our continued promise to never use them assures our clientele isolation from future liability.

Licensed Hazardous Waste Transportation

Brenntag Great Lakes' in-house fleet of Box Vans, DOT Certified Vacuum Tankers and Bulk Tankers routinely handle waste in pails, drums, and bulk throughout the Midwest. All of Brenntag Great Lakes' drivers and equipment are DOT Certified. In addition our fleet is covered by $16,000,000 of liability insurance.

Solvent Recycling and Disposal

BGL clients can reclaim products using stock or toll recycling for direct return of their material. BGL is permitted to accept C.E.R.C.L.A wastes and can handle solids, semi-solids, sludges, liquids, oils, paints, thinners, inks, and many other types of material. We also provide all documentation and tracking services for ALL waste shipments to our site. Upon request we can provide shipping manifests, completed labels, and Land Disposal Restriction Forms.

National Association of Chemical Distributors

Our leadership role in the NACD flows out of our commitment to product stewardship. Brenntag has a long standing dedication to Responsible Distribution and its attendant goals of constant improvement in all areas of product

stewardship, including environmental performance, human health awareness, and worker safety programs and working with local, state and national organizations to increase awareness of the benefits of chemicals and the necessity for responsible use.

Brenntag's Responsible Distribution Program has been audited by third party firms and continues to be in full compliance with all aspects the NACD program. In fact several of the independent auditors used terms like "model program" and "a prevention culture" to describe our efforts.

Environment, Health and Safety

Brenntag's strong commitment to environment, health, and safety is evidenced not only by our record, but also by the efforts our employees put into managing risk, reducing exposure and eliminating accidents, as well as near misses.

We constantly train and update our employees on all aspects of chemical handling and applicable laws and regulations. As chemicals are regulated by the Department of Transportation, the Environmental Protections Agency, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Adminstration, we have staff specialists to track and translate all of these program requirements.
